Parks Policies

Please review our policies before you sign up for a program or reserve a park. That way you'll know how the Department handles things like late registration, cancellations, and refunds. If you have questions about any of these policies, you can call 311 for help or email the Parks and Recreation Department.

Late Registration

A late fee will apply for any registration completed within three business days of the first day of a program. The late fee is $10 for all programs per person or participant.

Program Refund Policy

If a participant cancels their registration before a program begins, the Parks Department will issue a refund of the registration cost less a $10 processing fee (per program/per participant). If an activity is canceled by the Department, all participants will receive a full refund.NO refunds will be issued after a program has started.

Program Cancellations

We never want to cancel a program, but the Parks Department reserves the right to cancel activities if there aren't enough participants registered. If an activity is canceled by the department, participants will receive full refunds.

Statement of Inclusion

Point Russell Parks and Recreationencourages and promotes inclusive recreation. All of our programs are open to anyone who wishes to participate, we are happy to accommodate special needs when necessary.

Participant Age

We design our programs for specific age groups to make sure they are at the right level and safe for participants. We usually don't verify ages, but the Parks Department reserves the right to request proof of participant age by show of birth certificate.

Participant Photos

Members of our team or City of Point Russell staff may take photos during Parks and Recreation programs, in city parks, or at special events. These photos may be used for sharing programs and encouraging participation in our community.
