The Point Russell Sheriff's Department pays a salary competitive with other local police departments, with eligibility for salary increases occurring regularly, based on successful job performance.

Sheriff's Deputy Annual Salaries:

  • Hire Date as Cadet: $67,662.40
  • Entry into Field Training: $72,196.80 
  • Graduation from Field Training: $77,064.00 
  • Two Years from Date of Hire: $82,222.40
  • Three Years from Date of Hire (Lateral & Veteran starting salary*): $87,796.80
  • Four Years from Date of Hire: $93,662.40   (Lateral with 4 years of patrol experience) 
  • Five Years from Date of Hire: $100,880.00 (Lateral with 5 years of patrol experience)  

All increases are contingent upon successful job performance and available budget dollars.
